Safety Precaution
This STB has been designed and manufactured to satisfy the international safety standards. Please read the following safety precautions carefully before operating this receiver.
Main Supply:
Before operating, please check the units operating voltage is 12V DC
Overload:
Do not overload awall outlet, extension cord or adapter, neither use damaged power cord or touch it with wethand as this may result in electric shock.
Liquid:
The receiver shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water, and that no objects filled with liquids, such as base, shall be placed on the apparatus.
Ventilation:
Keep the slots on top of the receiver uncover to allow sufficient airflow to the unit. Do not put the receiver on soft furnishings or carpets. Do not expose the receiver to direct light or do not place it near a heater or in humid conditions. Do not stack other electronic equipments on top of the receiver.
Cleaning:
Plug out the receiver from the wall outlet before cleaning. Clean the receiver by a soft cloth or mild solution of washing-up liquid (no solvents).
Connection:
Disconnect the receiver from the mains when you connect it to satellite LNB or disconnect it from LNB. Failure would possibly cause damage to the LNB.
Location:
Put the receiver indoor in order to avoid lightening, raining or sunlight.
Uncover:
Do not remove the cover, to reduce the risk of electric shock. Contact qualified and licensed service personnel to repair the receiver, or contact your dealer.

2.1FrontPanel




1. Screen: The screen displays all information about the product.
2. 13v/18v Led: LNB power indicator.



AC/Look/Power:Power indicator.
4.Number key(0-9):Enter a TV/radio channel number or menu option number.

2.2 Rear Panel

III. STB


You should installation the receiver when powering on your product for the first
time after purchase.

Note: The default password is

0000. If you have forgotten your
password, please contact your

local product distributor.


Main menu
Press the MENU button when
you exit all menu , highlight the option which you want to operation, press OK
button.



Ⅳ. Installation


Highlighted to Installation, press
the OK button to enter into the
installation menu. In the
Installation menu, you can add /
edit / delete and search the
Satellites/ TPs. Press Menu / Exit button to exit from the current menu. The on-screen display of Installation is shown as follows.

4.1 Satellite /TP List

Enter the
Main->Installation->Satellite
List/TP list menu, you can edit /
add and delete the satellite /TP,
satellite List menu like below:

Edit:
Press the Red button to enter the
Edit Satellite menu in which the
satellite name, longitude direction
and longitude angle can be modified.
Add:
Press the Green button to add a satellite and edit the new satellite’sname, longitude direction and longitude angle.
Delete:
Press the Blue button to delete the highlight satellite.
Select:



You can use the OK button select or de-select the satellite. Have a icon is displayed behind the satellite name if you select.
Search: press the blue button, then starting satellite search
NO.1: Press the NO.1 button to quickly enter the antenna setting menu.
Notes:
You can also edit, add and delete in the TP List menu.


4.2 Antenna Setting

Antenna Setup allows you to configure the antenna setting parameters.

1. Satellite: Select the satellite
which you want to setup.
2. LNB Freq: Press the
Left/Right button to change the
LNB frequency.
3. TP: press OK button into TP
list then press Up/Down
button to change the TP.
4. DiSEqC 1.0: It used to set DiSEqC1.0 port, press the Left/Right button to select the required.
5. DiSEqC 1.1: Press the Left/Right button to select the required DiSEqC1.1 input.
6. 22 KHz: It used to control the 22 KHz switch (On for open, Off for Off, or Auto for automatic Settings 22 KHz).
7. Polarity: it used to set the polarity (Auto for auto9matic setting, H for horizontal polarity, V for vertical polarity).



4.3 Search channel

Enter the Single Satellite Search menu as shown as below:

1) If you want single satellite search, please enter the Single Satellite Search menu; if you want multi satellite search, please enter to the Multi Satellite Search menu.
2) FTA Only: Select Yes or No in this field.
Yes: Only search FTA channels.
No: Search FTA and encrypted channels.
3) Scan Channel: Select TV+Radio, TV Channel or Radio Channel in this field.
4) Scan Mode: Select Blind Scan ,preset Scan and Accurate Scan in this field.
5) Search: Highlight ‘Search’ and press [OK] or [Right] key to enter the search menu and start searching channels.
Notes: if you want TP search, please enter the TP list menu then select the TP that you want search, press the BLUE button and start searching channels.


V. Edit Channel

Enter the main menu-> Edit
Channel ->TV Channel List /
Radio Channel List menu. Here
enables you to set fav, lock/unlock,
skip, move and edit the channels in

the channel list conveniently.



FAV: Press the FAV button to add the desired channel into Fav Group. You can also rename the Fav Group name in the Favorite menu
Lock: Press the Red button input the password to lock /Unlock the channel
Skip: Press the Green button to enter the Skip edit mode. Then press the OK button to setup (or cancel) Skip. In the full-screen display status, users cannot
switch to the skipped channel by pressing the Up/Down button. However,
users can select the skipped channel by number keys or switch to the skipped channel in the channel list or 9-picture screen.
Move: press the Yellow button to enter the Move edit mode. Highlight the channel to be moved and press the OK button to mark the channel with a Move icon. Then, press the Yellow button to move the selected channel to the target position.
Sort: Press the Blue button into the edit status and then press the Red button to start sorting.
Name (A-Z): Sorted in alphabetic order of channel name’s initial letter from A to Z with the channel names starting with uppercase letters
before the channel names starting with lowercase letters.
Name (Z-A): Sorted in alphabetic order of channel name’s initial letter from Z to A with the channel names starting with uppercase letters
before the channel names starting with lowercase letters.
Free/ Scramble: All FTA channels are listed before the encrypted channels.
Lock: All channels with lock mark are listed following the channels without lock mark.
Default: Sorted according to the channels’ saving order. (When [Sort By
Default] is selected, the channel list will be sorted in channels’ initial saving order eventhough the order of channels have been changed by Move operation.)
Rename: Press the Blue button to enter the edit screen. Then press the Green button to rename the channel.



Delete: Press the Blue button to enter the edit mode. Then press the Blue button to delete the channels. If you want delete all channels, please into the Delete All menu.







VI. System setup


In the Main Menu, select System to enter the System menu window as shown as follows:







6.1 Language
Enter the Main menu->System Setup-> Language menu

1. Language: Set the menu language in this field.



2. First Audio / Second Audio: Set the default first/second audio language in this field.
3. Subtitle Language: Set the default subtitle language.
4. Teletext: Set the default Teletext language.
6.2 TV System

The on-screen display of TV Setting is shown as follows:

Video Resolution 480p /480i/ 576p/576i / 720p / 1080i / 1080p
Aspect Mode Auto / 4:3LB / 4:3PS / 16:9
Video Out YUV / RGB
Digital Audio Out LPCM OUT/ BS OUT



6.3 Local Time Setting

Enter the Main menu->System Setup-> Local Time Setting menu
1. Region: Select the region by yourself
2. GMT Usage: Select the time display type by region or by user define. .
3. GMT Offset: Select a timezone in this field.
4. Summer Time: Set the summertime in this field.
5. Date: Set date.
6. Time: Set time.
6.4 Timer Setting
Enter the Main menu->System Setup-> Timer Setting menu.The
on-screen display of Timer
Setting is shown as follows:



1. Select an item in Timer List and press the OK button to enter the Timer Setting menu.
2. Timer Service: Select the timer mode.
3. Wakeup Channel: Select a channel which is played when the system is waken up at the specified time.
4. Wakeup Date & On Time: Set the date and time when the system should be waken up.
5. Duration: Defines the Event duration.

6.5 Parental Lock

Enter the Main menu->System Setup-> Parental Lock menu
1) Select ‘Parental Lock’ in the System Setup menu. A password entering dialog appears, as shown as below. Enter the correct password, and the Parental Lock menu appears.
2) The default common password is ‘0000’. Users can modify the
password by themselves. If forgetting the password, users can enter the window using the super password. But the super password can not be modified by users.
6.6 OSD Setting

Enter the Main menu->System Setup->OSD Setting menu.
1) OSD Timeout: Select the time at which the on-screen menu disappears automatically.
2) OSD Transparency: Select the transparency of the on-screen menu.
6.7 Other

The on-screen display of Other is shown



as follows:
LNB Power: select On or Off.
Channel Play Type: select the All/free/scrambled when user used the up/down button change channel on full screen.
Beeper: when the TP have signal, the beeper menu setting on, it have audio and setting off, no have audio.
Auto Standby: It auto enter the standby mode when you haven’t remote the STB about 3 hours.
6.8 Factory Setting

Enter the main menu->
tools->Factory setting, you can
restore the product to the factory
default and you can also setup it
according to the wizard. (The
default password is ‘0000’).


7.Software Upgrade


7.1 USB Upgrade

Enter the main menu-> Software Upgrade->Upgrade By USB menu.

1) Copy the upgrade file to the USB’s root directory and insert the USB device.
3) Upgrade Mode: Change the upgrade mode in this field.
4) Upgrade File: Select the upgrade file in this field. Start: Start upgrade.



7.2 S/w Upgrade by OTA
Enter the main menu-> Software Upgrade->S/W Upgrade By OTA menu.

1)connect the 78.5 。satellite in LNB cable.
2)Make sure the TP 4040v30000 has signal.
3) Highligt the “ Start” menu . Then press the Ok button you can upgrade by OTA.





8. Trouble Shooting


Before contacting your local service centre, please read the tips below carefully. 1. No message displayed on the front display. (The product will not switch on.) • Check the main power cable and make sure it is plugged into a suitable power outlet.
• Check that the mains supply is switched on.
• Connect the power cable to a different power outlet.
• Check that the power switch is on at the rear of the product. (where applicable)
2. No picture
• Make sure that the product is powered on and in operation mode. (Press the STANDBY button)
• Make sure that the AV/HDMI/ is firmly connected to the TV.
• Make sure that the antenna cable is properly connected to the product.
• Be sure to activate channel search.



• Check the brightness level of the TV.
• Check if the channel is currently on air. Contact the broadcaster to ensure that the channel is running.
3. Poor picture/sound quality
• Make sure there is no mobile phone or microwave oven near the product.
• Check that your dish alignment is correct.
• Change the satellite dish for a larger one as this will increase the signal levels received.
• Replace the LNB with a lower noise factor in cases where the noise factor is too high.
• Replace the LNB with a new one in case it is damaged or out of order.
•Check the signal levels and adjust your antenna if the level is too low. The signal level maybe affected by weather conditions.
4. No or poor sound
• Check that your AV/HDMI cable is connected correctly.
• Check the volume levels of your TV set and the product.
• Check if the product or TV is on mute.
• Check audio type or soundtrack option. (where applicable)
